beverage and grocery processing industry directly employed 273,301 people and contributed more than $67.8 billion to the nation’s international trade.
Our diverse and sustainable industry is made up of over 36,000 businesses, ranging from world famous multinational companies to small and medium enterprises that are often family owned and run. And we’re not just in the urban centres, almost 39% of jobs in food and grocery manufacturing are in regional Australia, providing employment and opportunities in many local communities.
