The Australian Food and Grocery Council believes that greater choice means providing consumers with a variety of products to meet their diverse needs in price, range and quality.

The industry we represent continues to take significant steps through innovation, reformulation and other initiatives to help Australians to improve their health and wellbeing. In 2017-18 alone, it spent $2.9 billion in capital investment.

We advocate on issues of concern and interest to the industry, and act as a forum to discuss and pursue those issues.

We make representations to Government, retailers and other key stakeholders on matters that affect the industry. We liaise with government departments on food legislation, trade practices, environmental issues and other areas that directly affect the future of food and grocery manufacturing in this country.

Above all, we’re passionate about keeping Australia’s food and grocery sector strong.
