Food and grocery manufacturing is establishing itself as a key growth industry in South East Queensland, generating $7.68 billion in annual turnover and $915 million in wages across the federal electorates of McPherson, Bonner, Griffith, Brisbane and Oxley.

NORTHERN Victoria has emerged as a food and grocery manufacturing powerhouse, generating $9.23 billion in output per year and employing 14,221 Victorians, according to new research released today by the Australian Food and Grocery Council.

BUILDING on Melbourne’s reputation as the foodie capital of Australia, South East Melbourne has emerged as the food worker capital, with a quarter of all manufacturing jobs in the region now being in the food manufacturing industry.
