BRINGING AUSTRALIAN SHORT GRAIN RICE TO MARKET

To demonstrate this process to customers in Japan and Korea, where demand is growing for Australian short grain rice for the booming sushi market, SunRice has recently released a four-part ‘paddy to plate’ video series.
This instalment of the ‘Bringing Short Grain Rice to Market’ series, follows the milling of local Riverina grower John Hawkins’ rice. The videos, which are also available with Japanese and Chinese and Simplified Chinese captions, show that from the farm to storage, milling and distribution, what customers receive is the quality, delicious tasting rice that is highly-sought after by chefs and discerning consumers around the world.
